Wyoming Online Sports Betting Soars in October

This figure not only smashed previous records but also marked a significant 23.4% increase from October of the previous year.

The state’s gross gaming revenue hit an all-time high of $2.3 million, up 15% from last year and a whopping 53.3% more than in September 2023.

Overall, Wyoming’s online sports betting reached a record handle of $21.2 million in October 2023, with gross gaming revenue hitting an all-time high of $2.3 million.

DraftKings emerged as the top operator, generating $1.4 million in revenue from a $12.5 million handle.

Following DraftKings closely were FanDuel, with $402,961 in revenue and a $4.9 million handle, and BetMGM, which posted $378,344 in revenue from $3.5 million in bets.

Caesars also made a notable contribution, with $73,028 in revenue from $378,622.

Fanatics Betting and Gaming (FBG), a subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings, marked its expansion in the sports betting industry by completing the acquisition of PointsBet’s operations in Wyoming and also New York.

Their new move is part of a broader $150 million deal to purchase the US business of Australia’s PointsBet. As each state gets integrated, customers will experience the rebranding of PointsBet to “PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience.”

Taxable gaming revenue in Wyoming soared to $1.4 million, up 21.7% from the previous October and 172.6% from September 2023. Players won a total of $19 million during the month, highlighting the active and competitive nature of Wyoming’s online sports betting scene.
