PokerStars VR History

PokerStars VR was originally launched in 2018 as a part of The Stars Group, and the game captivated users with virtual reality poker tables where players could engage, converse, and throw virtual chips at each other.

James O’Reilly, the PokerStars Director of VR & Innovation, shared his enthusiasm about the journey. He recalled, “From a cutting-edge experiment in applying virtual reality to the poker table, we’ve grown to become a living entertainment destination with a full suite of games and experiences played in otherworldly environments.”

And, as he added, “Today, we’re much more than poker and much more than VR.”

Vegas Infinite Goes Beyond Poker

Poker lovers don’t need to worry. You can still enjoy Spin & Go, Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs), and the highly-awaited Metaverse Poker Tour (MPT).

However, with its relaunch, Vegas Infinite isn’t just about poker. This vibrant VR platform offers a wide selection of casino games, including:

  • Blackjack: Try your hand against the virtual dealer.
  • Roulette: Spin the wheel and let fate decide.
  • Slots: Experience the thrill of jackpots in a whole new virtual setting.
  • Craps: Dive into this classic dice game.
  • Rocket Rush: A proprietary title that promises an adrenaline rush.

But being in VR, it’s not just about the game itself – it’s also about your environment.

Flutter has now crafted an impeccable 3D virtual city setting for Vegas Infinite. Users can walk through a full-fledged casino floor, enjoy the panoramic views of the crafted cityscape from the rooftop areas, or simply relax in their personal suites.

And for those who don’t own a VR headset, the good news is that Flutter plans to release Vegas Infinite on PC too!
