Despite Detroit’s late-game efforts to come back from a 10-point deficit, which included a 38-yard field goal from Riley Patterson, Seattle prevailed in overtime.

Jared Goff’s strong performance for the Lions, with 323 yards and three touchdowns, was overshadowed by a key interception that led to a Seattle score.

This marked the first victory for the Colts under coach Shane Steichen, breaking an eight-game losing streak from the previous season.

Despite a decent performance from the Texans’ rookie QB, C.J. Stroud, with 384 yards and two touchdowns, Houston’s protection fell short, leading to Stroud being sacked multiple times. The Colts now stand at a 1-1 record for the season.

The Chiefs avoided a 0-2 start, a feat not experienced by defending Super Bowl champions since Denver in 1999.

Jacksonville quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, voiced his frustration with the team’s performance, especially after failing to capitalize on their chances.

Defensive tackle Chris Jones made a significant impact in the game with 1 1/2 sacks.

The turning point came when quarterback Daniel Jones delivered a 58-yard completion at the beginning of the second half.

Jones threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns during the game.

The Giants’ win was notable as it marked their most significant comeback since 1949 against the Cardinals.

Despite the victory, concerns arose as Saquon Barkley limped off the field in the fourth quarter with a potential ankle injury.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals extended their home game losing streak, dating back to last October.

San Francisco 49ers 30 @ 23 Los Angeles Rams

  • Date: September 17, 2023
  • Time: 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX)
  • Location: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA

Brock Purdy passed for 206 yards and scored an early touchdown for the 49ers. The team’s defense faced a strong performance from rookie Puka Nacua of the Rams, who set an NFL record for most receptions by a rookie in a single game and the most in the first two games of his career.

The Rams showcased competitive vigor throughout the game, but a key interception in the third quarter, resulting from a pass bouncing off Kyren Williams, paved the way for the 49ers’ win.

San Francisco remains undefeated after two consecutive road games to start the season.

  • Time: 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX)
  • Location: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
  • Where to watch: FOX

The Dallas Cowboys secured a dominant 30-10 win over the New York Jets in their home opener.

The victory was characterized by the Cowboys’ steady control despite not fully showcasing the offense tweaks under first-season play-caller, head coach Mike McCarthy.

Quarterback Dak Prescott’s performance was remarkable, finishing with 255 yards and two touchdowns.

The Jets had limited offensive success, with a notable 68-yard touchdown; however, their quarterback Zach Wilson struggled with three interceptions.

A key player in the Cowboys’ victory was Micah Parsons, who displayed an outstanding defensive performance, contributing significantly to the Jets’ lack of momentum.

Rookie kicker Brandon Aubrey also shone by successfully connecting on all five of his field goal attempts.

The Cowboys have started their season strongly, reminiscent of their formidable defenses from past decades.
