Marriott Welcomes BetMGM into its Bonvoy Portfolio
Just as the news that the decade-long relationship between MGM Rewards and World of Hyatt is reaching its end, Marriott announced a new “long-term strategic licensing agreement” with MGM. This partnership is set to kick off in October 2023, launching the “MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy.”
This unique partnership will incorporate 17 MGM properties, boasting around 40,000 rooms across Las Vegas and other cities in the U.S.
What’s the advantage of the MGM Collection? Well, you’ll be able to use your Marriott Bonvoy benefits at any MGM Collection resort. How cool isn’t that? It’s like turning your casino chips into hotel key cards!
The excitement doesn’t stop there, though. You’ll be able to book some of the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy through Marriott’s website and its mobile app (available for iOS and Android users) as soon as the new partnership begins. The remaining properties will be open for booking through Marriott by the end of 2023.
Among the MGM properties to join the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio are famous establishments like the ARIA Resort & Casino, Bellagio Resort & Casino, and Park MGM. Others include the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Excalibur Hotel & Casino, Luxor Hotel and Casino, and MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, to name a few.
Additionally, five MGM properties across the U.S. will also join the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, including Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi, and Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Cross-Over Loyalty Benefits
Have you ever dreamed of having your cake and eating it too? Well, this partnership is doing just that. It will offer cross-over loyalty benefits for Marriott Bonvoy and MGM Rewards members.
What does this mean for you? Well, you’ll have access to perks at all MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy!
Plus, MGM Rewards members can look forward to receiving “certain benefits” at Marriott Bonvoy properties worldwide.
To top it off, members of both programs will have the flexibility to exchange MGM Rewards points for Marriott Bonvoy points and vice versa. Detailed information about how earning and redeeming points will work at participating properties is still on the way. Hold your bookings as more exciting updates are in the pipeline!
BetMGM, Marriott, and the Rise of a New Era
The newly announced partnership with Marriott International is undoubtedly a powerful move by BetMGM. This strategic alliance not only broadens the horizons for BetMGM but also brings together two titans in the hotel and gaming spaces. With Marriott’s massive global reach and BetMGM’s robust digital experience, this could truly be the beginning of a new era in the online gambling industry.
Marriott’s CEO, Tony Capuano, is thrilled about this partnership and believes that MGM Resorts brings a wealth of intellectual property, entertainment, high-end culinary options, and unique experiences to its portfolio. This collaboration aims to provide unique and enriching experiences to the 180 million members of Marriott Bonvoy.
BetMGM is now bringing on Marriott Bonvoy as its exclusive hospitality loyalty partner in a clever move to link the traditional rewards platforms to sports betting. This partnership is poised to give BetMGM a competitive edge in the sports betting business. Customers of MGM’s sportsbook will soon be able to earn Bonvoy points on some transactions, while Bonvoy members will see MGM sportsbook marketing on the Marriott site.
As a loyal Marriott member myself, I can’t wait to add the MGM properties to my Marriott lists! Who knows, maybe there is time for an extra stay around G2E Las Vegas…
