ESPN Fantasy has launched two new bracket games for the NBA and NHL playoffs. The ESPN Playoff Hockey Challenge and ESPN NBA Playoff Challenge offer players a chance to compete for a $2,500 grand prize at the end of the playoffs. Both games are free to play and can be accessed through the ESPN Fantasy app on iOS and Android mobile devices or the ESPN.com website.

ESPN Playoff Hockey Challenge 2023

The Playoff Hockey Challenge allows hockey fans to predict winners for each playoff round leading up to the Stanley Cup Finals. Similarly, the NBA Playoff Challenge lets basketball fans make their predictions throughout the playoffs.

Both games have a user-friendly interface, enabling players to create and join groups to play against family and friends. Entries for the NBA Playoff Challenge will be accepted until April 15, while the deadline for the Playoff Hockey Challenge is April 17. The grand prize will be awarded to the player who earns the most total points throughout the playoffs.

Fans can submit up to two brackets for each game at ESPN.com/nbaplayoffchallenge and ESPN.com/playoffhockeychallenge.

  • Brackets can also be completed and submitted on the ESPN Fantasy App for iOS and Android.
  • In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker for each game will determine the winner, with total playoff points for the NBA Finals MVP determining the NBA Playoff Challenge winner and total goals for the Stanley Cup Final series deciding the Playoff Hockey Challenge winner.

ESPN Fantasy offers fans access to the web, mobile, audio, streaming video, and linear TV, with a fanbase of more than 20 million followers. The launch of these new bracket games follows the success of the ESPN Tournament Challenge run.
